family history[edit]

his mother was NOT the niece of Chief Pushmataha, but his daughter. Pushmataha was an only child, and did NOT have any siblings.

He had a total of 3 wives during his life. A lot of this info on here is wrong.. Don't believe everything you read on here.

- another ancestor of Greenwood Leflore.

Removal or U.S. Citizenship[edit]

I removed a request for disambiguation regarding the name William Ward Ward was a treacherous Indian Agent in Mississippi who refused to process land conveyance for those Choctaw who refused to accede to removal to Indian Territory in Oklahoma. Ward's name is common, even in the early 19th Century, and biographical info regarding him seems to be very sparse. I did find him referred to as "corrupt" and "an alcoholic." Without him having a Wikipedia page, there's no point in linking his name to a disambiguation page. Activist (talk) 14:38, 18 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
