[edit]

Did Greg Costikyan write his own wikipedia article? if so, doesn't that make it original research? JudgeX (talk) 04:49, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He has only made one edit, this, which is just to create one link. The article was written by other people. Ryan Paddy (talk) 21:15, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I just made an edit to my own page, which I know is of concern. I changed the name of my current employer from "Bossflight" to "Bossfight," which is correct, and linked it to the current Wikipedia page for Boss Fight Entertainment, which is also correct. I hope this is acceptable. (Note: My own employer uses "Bossfight" and "Boss Fight," and doesn't seem concerned with the inconsistent orthography, but I do not care a whit if this is corrected to either.)

Oh, for what it's worth, "crottled greeps" isn't Slobbovian meme. It comes out of science fiction fanzine fandom; Slobbovians just picked it up, because a lot of us were SF fans. But whatevs. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Costik (talkcontribs) 04:13, 13 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

"a viable channel for indie games"

[edit]

You mean Manifesto Games? Its Wikipedia article is up for deletion, so there's all the more reason to mention it here.66.71.90.75 (talk) 18:51, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Biography and refs

[edit]

Replying to the edit summary: "(a) I don't see any questionable links (b) I see lots of citations. If someone sees something bothering them -- LEAVE A COMMENT, DON'T SLAP TEMPLATES WILLY NILLY!)" a) I just cut down the external links according to WP:EXT. b) Yes there are many citations. Most are either from the author or broken links. There are no 3rd party refs for who he is, how old, and other core parts of a bio article. Please do not remove the refimprove tag again without improving this. c) deadlinks need attention d) please create an account and use that to discuss Widefox (talk) 12:44, 8 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Controversy

[edit]

Just thought that I'd stir this rather humdrum bio talk page by mentioning Costikyan's "famous" article in which he "proves" the voracious energy usage in the Traveller rpg - math which was later proven both superficial and inaccurate, though by then the meme had already entered the culture, and which (of course) Costikyan never corrected himself. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.246.184.114 (talk) 21:26, 6 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
