Totally promotes him. Yesitsnot (talk) 09:25, 26 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

True. I'll try and alter it soon if you don't. Half Price (talk) 09:40, 26 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds like it was written by Greg Sestero's mum... I wrote a screenplay for a sequel to The Room titled 'The Thunderbox' with myself playing opposite Greg Sestero, and I received a letter of commendation from my cousin's late King Charles Cavalier Spaniel. My own dog wasn't overly enthused with the whole proposition. 167.30.73.70 (talk) 06:40, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Editorial[edit]

Mostly organizational changes without major changes to info; put all info about The Room under one section, broke up earlier work versus work since. Took out comment about him writing a book since there was no reference. Also removed external links that are not appropriate (news articles aren't listed unless they're references). Probably still needs some additional cleanup and checking of references so I'm leaving the "stub" notice.Bobbyandbeans (talk) 06:02, 4 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

See what happens when you vandalize a page? Now it's a mess.Bobbyandbeans (talk) 14:24, 10 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Relying on primary sources[edit]

There is content in this article that relies on the personal resume of this person, which of course is not a secondary source and subject to a conflict of interest.--Oakshade (talk) 14:48, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I just put this on your talk page without realizing you had added this here; I'm in touch with Greg about his page and he's confirmed the French/American descent and citizenship. That is his resume online. I don't know what else to say or do to keep it there. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bobbyandbeans (talkcontribs) 14:52, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
P.S. Just an FYI, I'm just a freelance writer that does Wiki pages. I don't have any personal interest in getting his page done a certain way; this is just the info I'm given and the references available to me.Bobbyandbeans (talk) 14:58, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

COI Issue[edit]

Just an FYI, I contacted Greg, not the other way around, because his page was not being done properly by another contributor. I removed promotional info, random and pointless outside links, and other inappropriate content, and cleaned up the references (check the history to compare). My "personal association" with him was initiated to get the page up to Wiki standards and to get the other user to stop vandalizing it with inappropriate content.

I'm aware that the reference to his resume for the statement about his French-English descent is not the best and Greg has said he'll try to find where it's been mentioned in an interview (it is also on his IMDB page but they're not the best reference either). I'll contact him again about that (although I don't see why that's something promotional or offensive).

My point is that my intention in doing this page is not to promote Greg but to get the page done according to Wiki standards. If someone has something constructive or something in particular that is bothersome, please don't hesitate to mention it, but I don't mind saying that I do resent the implication that I'm promoting him after the work I did to get it to a more neutral tone.Bobbyandbeans (talk) 23:38, 7 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

So you're saying you do not work for him? That you are not getting paid for these edits? --Orange Mike | Talk 00:09, 8 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
No, I'm not getting paid and Greg has little to no interest in the page itself. He's very nice and very grateful for the work and cooperated completely with everything I asked of him when I did contact him, and agreed with me telling him it needed to be changed to Wiki standards. Again, go back and look at the other contributor that was trying to create it and you'll see a lot of promo info and superfluous info removed (he and Wiseau were "unlikely" friends, audience members can contact Greg via Facebook with questions for his book, etc.).Bobbyandbeans (talk) 00:14, 8 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, then I apologize; I understood otherwise. I've very occasionally contacted a subject about a trivium and to seek additional reliable sources. --Orange Mike | Talk 00:25, 8 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Appreciate the apology. As a writer by trade I need to refer to people as "clients" whether they pay me or not, so that may have contributed. Please don't hesitate to note anything in particular about the page that seems out of place, although I've tried to look at it honestly and critically and don't really see anything myself.Bobbyandbeans (talk) 00:35, 8 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Involvement in Big Shark[edit]

The Big Shark article says that Sestero appeared in the 2019 trailer, but his part was recast and he ultimately had no role in the final film. This article claims that he “collaborated” with Wiseau on the film. Is his involvement in the trailer sufficient to count as “collaboration”? 180.233.127.65 (talk) 08:35, 7 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
