Rights of way in Grisedale[edit]

The paragraph starting "Walking is popular" is rather odd. It is clearly untrue both from current and historic OS mapping that "Prior to the open access laws introduced from 2000 onwards, the dale did not possess any rights of way", whatever Ref. 36 may or may not state. The 2000 open access legislation is independent of rights of way. "However, the track used to go between the ranges to Uldale", implies that the track no longer does, but this track still exists as a byway and then a footpath. So there clearly is at least one right of way! Phodgkin (talk) 20:24, 1 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
