Metals or nonmetals?

You must be talking about the carbon group. The "Group 4" this article talks about has only metals. —Keenan Pepper 04:17, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

What charge do the ions have?

These elements don't exist as simple aqueous ions. But they will generally have an oxidation state of +4 in compounds.--feline1 (talk) 12:49, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
