Muzzle Velocity, Projectile Weight, and Classified Information

The values given for these parameters of the 30x165 (not 30x164) AO-18 ammunition aren't quite correct: they presumably refer to the more powerful loadings in service with the Russian army and navy, e.g. in air defence weapons like the 2S6 Tunguska AAA.

For aircraft guns like the GSh-30-2, weaker loadings are used, with projectile weights from 386-404 g, and muzzle velocities of 880-890 m/s.

It also seems rather contradictory to claim that "Weight and muzzle velocity are classified", and then list them in the specifications. In fact the information is readily availabe in printed and online sources. Textor (talk) 02:56, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
