General: Article is new enough and long enough

Policy compliance:

  • Adequate sourcing: Yes
  • Neutral: Yes
  • Free of copyright violations, plagiarism, and close paraphrasing: No - The report shows that there are a few proper nouns. However, there are a few phrases with close paraphrasing as well. I'm not sure if "He was President of the International Society of Surgery from 1983 to 1985. He received the Gold Medal from the College of Surgeons of Malaysia, the Abraham Colles Medal from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland" could be worded better, but that is the only concern I have.
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation

The source says, "In 1964 Professor Ong was appointed professor of surgery and head of the department at Hong Kong University, the first ethnic Chinese to hold the post." However, the hook implies that he's the first ethnic Chinese to hold such a position anywhere in Hong Kong, not just Hong Kong University. Edge3 (talk) 03:46, 14 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
