neither cowardly nor bravely

[edit]

Does this description mean they die in the course of duty, or by accident? and is it this neutrality the reason why they are allocated the second level, just above hell? It seems unfair and maybe there's more to it. Thanks, Manytexts (talk) 00:10, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Guhyakas are a degraded secession of the Rakshasas

[edit]

Vayu Purana 1.9.28 states: <quote>Those among them" (meant are the Rakshasas) "who delightedly said to one another, 'We shall destroy the Waters' became, due to that activity, Yaksas and Guhyakas. They were cruel in their actions.</quote> (G.V. Tagare (Editor): The Vayu Purana Part I in: Ancient Indian Tradition & Mythology Vol. 37, page 78) But maybe this is OR.--87.152.232.15 (talk) 14:01, 29 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Guhyakas divine being similar to Pegasus

[edit]

The page describes Guhyakas as half-bird or half-equine in nature. Are Guhyakas similar in form to Pegasus in Greek mythology? Suresa108 (talk) 07:48, 24 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
