Seat of the Dukes of Guise[edit]

Though the Dukes of Guise may have used Guise as part of their title, "seat" usually means where a family lived. As far as I know none of the Dukes of Guise was ever born there, married there, died there or was buried there. The family seat seems to have been at Joinville then Bar-le-Duc.
