Requested move 14 March 2023

[edit]
The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: not moved. As noted by Silikonz, although there may be multiple Gulings in the province, there is only one Guling in the province with an article on Wikipedia. Therefore, there is no need to bring the disambiguation level down to the sub-provincial/city levels yet. (closed by non-admin page mover) – robertsky (talk) 12:30, 22 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Guling, JiangxiGuling, Jiujiang – the offical website of guling town link is below, it shows clearly guling, jiujiang is better than guling, jiangxi. https://www.jiujiang.gov.cn/zjjj/cyjj/jdjj/201507/t20150715_1454098.html 206.119.37.102 (talk) 15:41, 14 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment It appears very likely that this IP is a sockpuppet of User:Gweilo60, who is currently blocked. 162 etc. (talk) 16:59, 14 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. Jiangxi is a province or state, maybe it is too large to put it here. While Jiujiang is a much smaller city that can give a better indication of where the Guling town is located. Also administration of Guling town belongs to Jiujiang, I think Jiujiang can better show the location and administrative area of Guling. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 149.127.242.90 (talkcontribs)
Comment: Very likely IP hopping to sway consensus, per User:162 etc.. Silikonz💬 01:45, 15 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Strong oppose per my comment above and the relevant discussion on my talk page. I don't see any reason to violate WP:NCCHINA here. Silikonz💬 01:56, 15 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
can you explain more about the specific reaons? For example, which one is out of compliance? and this can be shown to other editors, instead of being told it's not up to code and it's over? This is the place to talk, right? 206.119.61.75 (talk) 02:30, 15 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have terminated this. One, see section above. Two, see WP:RFCNOT, last row. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 08:28, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The current title is violating WP:NCCHINA. WP:NCCHINA has specific rule regards this, it says "If the name is not unique within the province, disambiguate: A) By the prefecture-level city if the parent division is a district. B) By the county-level city, county, or banner otherwise. Guling is not unique within the province, and it needs to be disambigated by by the prefecture-level city. Clearly Jiangxi is not that city. 203.17.215.26 (talk) 03:14, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
