Glider gun as a NOT gate?[edit]

Say, has anybody else noticed that if you position a glider gun just right, it will eat gliders hitting it from the opposite direction, and stop outputting its own gliders? glider vs spaceship[edit]

Some recent edits are continuously swapping the terms 'glider' and 'spaceship', which I don't think is right because the two terms are not interchangeable. A spaceship is any configuration that moves in a line; a glider is a very particular kind of spaceship, in fact the smallest spaceship. Thus (see, e.g. this section of the reference) a gun shoots spaceships (which can include, e.g. the "LWSS", "MWSS", "HWSS" and probably even larger specimens) while a glider gun is a special type of gun that shoots gliders. Smallest Gun[edit]
