Is election to the National Academy of Sciences an "award"[edit]

Another editor has objected to my calling election to the National Academy of Sciences and other academies of high prestige awards. I'm certainly not the only one who has thought that (see the article on James Watson, for example, an article that I haven't touched). As there is no entry for "honours" there is nowhere else in the Infobox to list them. For me, election to a major academy is a greater honour than receipt of some obscure prize. I won't argue in this case, but if that is the general opinion there are a lot of other articles that need to be fixed. Athel cb (talk) 16:00, 24 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
