Gwenda Morgan is a much admired artist, with pictures in the British Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, Ashmolean Museum, the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, among others.

An article in Amphora, the magazine of the Alcuin Society (1986) said:

"In Gwenda Morgan we come on one of the least-known and most rewarding of English engravers. Very much the countrywoman, Morgan has lived nearly all her life in Petworth, Sussex, and has with few exceptions found everything she needs as subjects within the small area near her home. Her engravings are usually developed along the simplest lines, built from strokes running in only two or three directions. She has an eye for the moment, the seconds that reveal life: the moment the man in the rain shrugs up the collar of his coat, the first snatch of wind in a squall, or a startling slap of light out of heavy cloud. Her work is tidy and clear, but from conviction about essentials, not from repressed sensibilities."

I agree the article should not be deleted but it must not contain material which has simply been copied from another site. I have redrafted the introduction and removed the remainder of the material. I hope the article can now be expanded on the basis of various sources.--Ipigott (talk) 08:57, 25 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
