[edit]The Gwyn Hanssen Pigott article posted was written by me, Molly Hatch and I posted a copy of the article on my blog at ms.mishima.blogspot.com, so I give persmission for it to be posted on wikipedia in addition to my blog. THis article is about an artist who is very influential and important to contemporary art and ceramics. As a ceramics graduate student, i wrote this article about Pigott to contribute to the wiki entries about contemporary ceramic artists. Please allow this article to be posted. Molly Hatch, MFA University of Colorado at Boulder.
I have deleted the reference to Buddhism in the influences section. Gwyn is not of the Buddhist faith or practices any form of Buddhist meditation . In fact she has never studied or expressed interest in the subject. This information has appeared in the public record via an individuals speculation and unverifiable opinion. Gwyn as the subject of a living person biography has asked me personally to correct this error.Balius (talk) 21:58, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
Gwyn passed away in the last 24 hours in London following a major stroke about two days earlier. Gwyn was in London for an exhibition. The appropriate sources for this information should become available in the next week or so.Terry Macro (talk) 01:25, 6 July 2013 (UTC)
- I have added a reference.--Racklever (talk) 07:08, 8 July 2013 (UTC)

[edit]At present there is ridiculous imbalance between the space devoted to GHP's apprenticeship and her years of mature artistry. Slowly I am trying to correct this. Also, something must be done about those unencyclopaedic quotes, but they are so beautiful I don't want to touch them. Erictimewell (talk) 09:19, 26 October 2016 (UTC)
Ordering GHP's working into phases and trying to relate the phases to her influences. At present the Influences section is incoherent, floating in free space. Also trying to find references to support each claim; at present there are far too few. I am also worried that the long quotes from GHP may breach copyright as they stand. Erictimewell (talk) 01:06, 28 October 2016 (UTC)
I have reluctantly moved GHP's beautiful quotes mostly into footnotes (where they can still be read) and tidied up the system of references so that all claims are referenced. Accordingly I have removed the editorial tag at the head of the article. Erictimewell (talk) 23:00, 28 October 2016 (UTC)
For me the article now lacks substance: what did she really do and what was it really worth? Same thing put differently: how is the article better than half a dozen of the obituaries it refers to? It will take a few weeks to jiggle the pieces into place. Erictimewell (talk) 02:53, 30 October 2016 (UTC)
