hi Fallschirmjäger, i see you are helping me write this article, but how can i talk to you directly? i have problems

  • associating the many articles of the same title and subject in different languages. besides english, wikipedia has györgy petri in german, romanian, spanish and hungarian. only the last two are connected. i cant see any links that seem to solve this.
  • with citations and bibliography. i asked a wikipedian friend to look after that, i hope he'll help me. to my best knowledge all the historical data i provided are accurate, and i haven't used any insider info or own speculation. please don't delete.
  • regarding the photo i uploaded: among a number of different websites that have it, i specified oszk.hu, the hungarian national library. without being a copyright expert, i suppose that no material at the national library's website is commercial or restricted. however i dont know how to fill the form.

thx, Anapazapa (talk) 19:45, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

thank-you for the changes. what i am still missing: link to the romanian and german page. what i do not understand: the interlingual links do not seem to be mutual. e.g. we are linking to the spanish page, but not vice versa. that makes the whole wikipedia network inconsistent. what i do not know: how to tag a photo. i typed "fair use" somewhere, but it is not clear whether that qualifies as tagging. Anapazapa (talk) 22:13, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Anapazapa, please see Wikipedia:ICT/FU. That shows the tag to use. Replace "Article" with "György Petri" in the {{Non-free fair use in|Article}} tag and add that to Wikipedia's page for the image. If you need help with that, please ask me on my talk page. I think that should protect the picture from deletion. If you have an interest in Hungarian poetry, please feel free to add works by notable Hungarian poets to any of the "[year] in poetry" pages, such as 1985 in poetry, either in the "Hungary" section, if there is one, or in the "Other languages" section. -- JohnWBarber (talk) 22:41, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've changed the "Works" section so that the years link to "[year] in poetry" pages, where Fallschirmjäger has already added Petri's works. I removed links to the general "year" articles, which is discouraged now. I assume that all the works in the "Works" list are books of poetry. Is that correct? Thanks for starting the article, by the way. -- JohnWBarber (talk) 22:49, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've added the inter-wiki links to the respecitve German and Romanian articles. Thanks for your efforts improving the article. If I get a chance today I'll try and have a look at getting the image properly licensed if possible, cheers Fallschirmjäger 11:09, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've put the image under a copyrighted non-free image license, it should qualify for fair use as although the source of the image, hungarian national library claims copyright its a historical image of a deceased person.Fallschirmjäger 11:41, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

thx poisonborz. i deleted the commas in westernized names. either this, or it can be surname, comma, given name. and colons instead of periods between author and title. could you add footnotes as well? they look nice and reliable Anapazapa (talk) 14:57, 21 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
