spurious sources and a false claim

[edit]

The false claim is that Kurdish Hezbollah was not hostile with PKK, tried to form an alliance with them, and was peaceful towards them even when attacked.

Two of the sources, Washington institute and Yeni Ozgur Politika, which are attached as "references" actually invalidate the claim.

And the attacks on Kurdish Hezbollah attributed to the PKK in this strange section of the Wikipedia article here, are described in these supposed sources.

Sources which are themselves somewhat reliable, describe primarily attacks from the state in order to "liquidate" Kurdish Hezbollah, after the state was finished supporting it as a proxy against the PKK.

That is also probably more accurate as an account of the roots of the violent hostility between the PKK and Kurdish Hizbullah, that and their conflicting political ideologies. Freyheytlid (talk) 05:32, 17 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

One of the sources which seems to support the claim is simply an interview with a figure associated with Kurdish Hezbollah. That gives a sense of the reliability of the better sources for this false claim. Freyheytlid (talk) 05:34, 17 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
