Why cross-reference?[edit]

Two significant planets were announced within a day or two of each other. This is worth noting. I inititally mistook them for the same discovery, and I doubt I am the only one.

Also the HAT-P tag is a new development, as is Corot-exo. Making an apparent link between very different planets. We can condfidently expect a lot more, at least from COROT, at which point it might be worth doing a page or three about discovery methods. --GwydionM 21:47, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The data doesn't looks right[edit]

If it's about 8 Jupiter's radius and is very closer than it's parent star, how it could be just 1.18 Jupiter's radius? It should be much larger.

And it don't sound reasonable for a planet with an orbital distance between Mercury and Mars orbit it's star in just 5 days and 15 hours. It's a large path to travel in so few time. With that velocity the planet would escape the system. Victorwss 20:31, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like some data were mixed with Corot-exo-1b data. Victorwss 21:03, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
