Jupiter-like probability

[edit]

The primary reference [1] does explain the probability more exactly: "For a Jupiter mass planet in a Jupiter-like (12 yr) circular orbit, we estimate a 35% probability that such a planet is present based on the non-detection from our RV data." Alas, I have no idea what this really means - obviously there is not really a 35% chance for there to be a planet in that precise orbit. Expansion in this regard would be welcome. Starbox help needed

[edit]

In trying to clean up a refererence with a typo I somehow deleted a key piece of code in the star box template or data. Does anyone know how to fix this? My apologies. Cliffswallow-vaulting (talk) 17:21, 12 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It's an error you yourself introduced into the infobox, so you could revert your own edit. (Or I think you can, I haven't used the mobile editor, which you seem to be using. I will note that many errors in pages on Wikipedia seem to be caused by the mobile editor. ) -- 65.94.171.126 (talk) 05:20, 13 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
