Opposition[edit]

These small patrol craft were ordered by the Labour government, and in service by 1975. I think it is improbable that the National Party then in opposition would call them "ridiculously expensive and militaristic for fisheries protection". They have the usual armament for a fisheries vessel - being almost unarmed - so could only be called militaristic by a pacifist.
