Launched[edit]

The infobox says she was launched on the 14 February 1911 but the text in the article has "Dartmouth was launched on 14 December 1910". The Times reports she was launched from Barrow on 14 February 1911 by "Lady Dartmouth". MilborneOne (talk) 17:38, 13 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Conway's says she was launched on 14 December 1910, as does Dittmar and Colledge, while the series of articles by Lyon in Warship says she was launched on 13 February 1911.Nigel Ish (talk) 19:00, 13 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The Engineer states in its 17 February 1911 edition that Dartmouth was launched "Tuesday last" which would give 14 February.Nigel Ish (talk) 19:08, 13 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Friedman says 13 Feb 11, although I'd trust the newspapers more in this case as I can easily see an Admiralty clerk making a typo in the ship's cover about her launching date. I don't have access to the Times, so could one of you UK-based gentlemen update the article and source the fact?--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 21:37, 13 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The Times on the 15 February 1911 had "Launch of the Dartmouth - The cruiser Dartmouth was launched at Messrs. Vickers, Sons, and Maxim's yard at Barrow yesterday by Lady Dartmouth." There was also info in the the papers of Feb 11 and Feb 14 about the intended launch. MilborneOne (talk) 16:43, 14 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Great, can you add a link?--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 17:51, 14 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
