Working on This Article[edit]

Done for now. I have emails out for info on the Captain. He has a DSC and Royal order, so there should be information out there somewhere, one received while Captain of the Florizel. I also have emails out trying to get more info on the collision with HMS Charelstown and other service records. Florizel was MID (Mentioned in Dispatch) once for service of the north French coast; I am trying to find that info too. BAM[edit]

BAM was used for 32 minesweeprs [Here] build by the US Navy for the UK under Lend Lease. The minesweepers were given temp hull numbers using BAM. The US kept 12 of these assigning them permanent AM hull number. I don't see anysuch information in the section you linked to, however, I did find this showing B was prefixed to the hull number for Commonwealth bound vessels. I hadn't known about that. (Besides, AM-26 would be the USS Rail). Cheers, Gecko G (talk) 21:02, 22 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
