  • Comments/suggestions: G'day, the article generally looks quite good. I have the following suggestions:
  • "Yangtse river..." --> "Yangtse River..."? (two instances)
  • "The design of the Dragonfly-class ships were based" -> "The design of the Dragonfly-class ships was based..."?
  • "by John I. Thornycroft & Company at Woolston, Southampton, launched on 19 January 1939" --> "by John I. Thornycroft & Company at Woolston, Southampton, and launched on 19 January 1939"?
  • "In April 1939 she was deployed to travel to the China Station..." --> "In April 1939 she travelled to the China Station..."?
  • How about "sailed"?
  • "...and was expected to arrive on 24 May". When did she actually arrive?
  • We can't pin down exactly when she arrived.
  • "Part of the Gnat's crew transferred to the Grasshopper..." --> "Part of Gnat's crew transferred to Grasshopper..." (drop the definate article for consistency)
  • "Following the declaration of war with Japan during the Second World War in December 1941..." --> "Following Japan's entry in to the Second World War in December 1941..."?
  • "At the outbreak of the Battle of Singapore on 8 February, both ships were in the harbour. By 11 February, as the evacuations took place, they were the largest vessels left." --> "After the Japanese captured the Malayan Peninsula, both ships moved to Singapore harbour. On 8 February, the Japanese launched an amphibious assault across the Strait of Johore and following heavy fighting, many ships began evacuating from the harbour. By 11 February Gnat and Grasshoper were the largest vessels left."
  • "They were Petty Officer George White and Able Seaman "Tancy" Lee of the Grasshopper, who..." --> "They were Petty Officer George White and Able Seaman "Tancy" Lee, who..." (the sentence before already establishes that the are part of the crew);
  • " offered a boat by the Administrator of the island..." --> " offered a boat by the island's administrator..."
  • "After four days, the engine broke and couldn't be turned off" --> "After four days, the engine broke and could not be turned off"
  • in the References, "Souvenir Press Ltd" --> "Souvenir Press"
  • in the References, can a location be for the Varley work?
  • the infobox includes a completed date of 13 June 1939, but this doesn't appear to be mentioned in the body of the article;
  • same as above for the complement of 74. Regards, AustralianRupert (talk) 14:47, 5 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

All done. Thanks for looking over this for us.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 18:09, 5 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No worries. Good luck with taking it further. Regards, AustralianRupert (talk) 23:59, 5 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks from me also! I hadn't even realised the review was in place until Sturm had already resolved everything already. :) Miyagawa (talk) 10:12, 6 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
