Siege of Petropavlovsk?[edit]

Is this the same that HMS Trincomalee took part in the Siege of Petropavlovsk in 1854? -- Petri Krohn (talk) 04:02, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

HMS TRINCOMALEE[edit]

Dear sir/madam,

I am just writing to inform you of some little mistake's on the article the compliment on the ship (crew) was 240 men not 315 these consisted of captain, royal marine's, officer's and your sailor's etc. also the Trincomalee had a defaced ensign the one you show isn't the correct flag for the ship is in this link: http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/gb~trin.html — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.130.58.233 (talk) 13:30, 28 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Why did she have such a long service life?[edit]

82 passed between when she was launched and when she was sold for scrap. Most ships of her period had lives of 30 years or less. Was there a reason why she repeatedly escaped being scrapped? --Badger151 (talk) 02:08, 8 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Just a guess but the answer might be she's teak, oak is good but possibly not that good...? 86.148.15.235 (talk) 12:59, 23 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
