When did construction start?[edit]

When is it started to be built? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Halfalive (talkcontribs) 07:13, November 25, 2006

Long time ago, see the Dutch article (learn first the Dutch language!). Tahrim 14:54, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That's really helpful! --kingboyk (talk) 16:07, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
October 2000 construction started.Pinfix (talk) 13:38, 7 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Connection to Eurostar[edit]

Can we mention how this will affect services from AMS to London via Brussels? (Presumably it will speed them up somewhat). --kingboyk (talk) 16:07, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Names on map[edit]

Can someone who knows how add place names to the map of the line? I would do this myself but I don't know how. Although I've now worked out where the main cities are, it's quite difficult for people like me that don't have a good grasp of Dutch geography to see where the line is in relation to the main places. I think adding labels for maybe Schiphol, Brussels, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Antwerp and Utrecht would put the map into context.--217.171.129.68 (talk) 10:24, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image[edit]

Someone has uploaded an image with Dutch text over the original English version. Could someone please revert this? Rubenescio (talk) 11:23, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why? The image was originally used in the Dutch Wikipedia. It's quite logic that they use maps in the Dutch language. If you want a English-language map: make one of your one.--Westermarck (talk) 12:41, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with Rubenescio. The Dutch version of the map should have been a different filename, in addition to the english verison. No problem having both English and Dutch version, but why trample the english version with a Dutch version? Maybe we should take this image, change the water to blue, and re-upload with a filename that including "english", so it will only be overwritten by a better english version. I might be able to handle that, but i'm not much of an image guy. —fudoreaper (talk) 08:23, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Name change[edit]

This article was about the trajectory of HSL-Zuid in the Netherland, which will form the Schiphol–Antwerp High-Speed Line together with HSL 4 in Belgium. I think the name change should be reverted. Rubenescio (talk) 11:24, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

construction controversies and criticism[edit]

There is nothing in this Article about the many trials and tribulations of this railway line. The price escalated from 1.9bn gulden to 7.2billion EUR. There was a parliamentary research committee Tijdelijke Commissie Infrastructuurprojecten [nl]. And other criticisms. Including that the track was completed both to late and too early. (it was behind schedule, but the train service to utilise it fully was even further behind schedule). The fact that too much money was payed for the consession by HSA which led to financial problems and had to be bailed out by the government for 390mn euro.Pinfix (talk) 13:38, 7 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
