Math doesn't add up
[edit]The math doesn't add up in the article, it's claimed he was claimed to be 122 in 2000 when it's said it's claimed he was born in 1870. It's like it was written 1878 before but someone just made it 1870. --89.127.175.172 (talk) 20:39, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
Wrong Link
[edit]I've moved this from the article to here:
It's not what it says it is. If someone can find the real link, please insert it and return this external link to the article page. Thanks. David in DC (talk) 13:36, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page
[edit]Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

- If, as seems likely, this is kept, it needs some rewriting. This treats his plainly exaggerated age claim with far too much credulity, certainly more than the sources themselves do. The Blade of the Northern Lights (話して下さい) 00:04, 11 December 2018 (UTC)

- "The oldest Hajj pilgrim"? A serious reference work shouldn't unquestioningly swallow what is obviously unmitigated bullshit. And saying "his claim is disputed" severely understates the case. That's just on a quick glance. The Blade of the Northern Lights (話して下さい) 03:08, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
- Yeah, I agree it's still atrocious. Reyk roaming (talk) 11:09, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
Redirection
[edit]If you see where I redirected the page, it has all the relevant information (minus delusional puffery that makes it seem like this is at all a plausible age claim). There's nowhere near enough material for a standalone article, and the list on longevity myths page provides context for this marginally notable case.
