[edit]According to WP:WEB, the website is notable if it meets the following criteria: “The website or content has won a well-known and independent award from either a publication or organization.” As stated in the article, this website repeatedly received awards in the ROTOR contest. It’s an old (since 1999) and authoritative Internet contest in Runet. Last year, the website also won the Runet Prize (Russian governmental award). I think that's enough to keep the article. I would also like to know what is wrong with the neutral point of view. ~ aleksandrit (talk) 11:21, 5 April 2012 (UTC)
- If the article is to exist on the English Wikipedia it should assert why it is notable in the English speaking world. So we need some English references for this kind of article UKWikiGuy (talk) 21:53, 6 April 2012 (UTC)
- Habr still has no weight in the English-speaking world. The article is subject to deletion. vklimin (talk) 11:21, 18 February 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Habrhabr is one of the main nodes in the Runet network. It recent prize (late 2011), as reported by The Voice of Russia, shows that it evolved from a Slashdot copycat to an original, innovative and very noticeable platform --Nicolaskb (talk) 17:15, 5 April 2012 (UTC)
Not a social network
[edit]@Rathfelder: previously, I undid your addition of Category:Russian social networking websites, but you have re-added it. I believe that this category is not appropriate for this article. Habr is not a social networking website. It has some features of a social network, but it has even less similarity to social networking websites than, say, Reddit or Medium. --colt_browning (talk) 16:10, 24 November 2019 (UTC)
- Categorisation is not an exact science. I dont see a better category for it. Do you?Rathfelder (talk) 16:15, 24 November 2019 (UTC)
- To me, Category:Russian websites + Category:Community websites seems to be a perfect combo. --colt_browning (talk) 17:50, 24 November 2019 (UTC)
