Just noting that there are lists of a lot more locations and planets in the Halo universe at the Halo Library[1], if anyone feels like adding information from there. RandomCritic 13:04, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This isn't a big enough topic to stand on its own; make it part of the Halo universe article. Alba 21:28, 28 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Covenant ships

[edit]

In the "The Human-Covenant War begins" section there's a section devoted to Covenant ship technology, I don't think it really belongs in the history section. Can someone turn it into a new article or move it further up with a link in the original position? - Just.James 17:49, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vehicles

[edit]

Why is the Pelican the only thing under vehicles??

Merged The Ark

[edit]

I merged The Ark (Halo) here, as there was only one sentence that wasn't blatant original research. — TKD::Talk 11:27, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Was the ark ever actually confirmed by bungie to be 'next' to New Mombasa? Can you provide source?

Should Weaponry split off and become an article?

[edit]

Hello,

I suggest that the weaponry section become it's own article. We could easily take screenshots of the various weapons used, perhaps even create a gallery of Halo PC weapons, and greatly add to their descriptions. I'm only interested in adding a bit of information about a few weapons concerning their similiarity (or lack thereof) to real life weapons.

--Ravenstorm 12:00, 1 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Already been trried and deleted, per consensus. Comparisons to real-life weapons would be mostly original research. If you can find verifiable, reliably-sourced, non-game-guide information, add it here first. Then, if the section gets large enough for its own article, split it out. — TKD::Talk 13:36, 1 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've dealt with the Weapons section anyway; UNSC weapons were moved to the respective UNSC article, Covenant and Forerunner weapons were deleted. Peptuck 17:36, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Arc/Ark

[edit]

Read the halo 2 discussion, all "ark"s should be switched to "arc"sSkynet1216 04:16, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You are incorrectly interpreting the subtitles; they say "Ark," not "Arc." [2]

Halo Universe

[edit]

Should the U in Universe not be capitalized since it is a primary word in the title of something? I would do it myself as it's only a one letter change, but I don't know how to change the title of an article. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by SuperActionFunboy (talkcontribs) 09:53, 13 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Not necessary. In fact, it should be capitalized. If you don't believe me, talk to any Engilsh teacher who teaches either AP English Language, AP English Literature, or IB English. Neil the Cellist 22:04, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I am a college TA instructor at the State University of New York. Universe is not a proper noun as it is neither a part of a title nor is it identifying a location... The "Halo" in "Halo universe" is an adjective. Think of it as "that polluted river" versus "the Missouri River". MartinDuffy 19:29, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Children Number

[edit]

Why is it that the number stated in the article is so much lower than canon? weren't there 200+ spartans in the book Fall of Reach? However it is correct that towards the end of the training and augumentation process the spartans' number dwindled to around the 100- range... -Felix Pandora- 69.210.209.100 01:37, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There were 150 children surveyed, seventy-five of which were kidnapped and half of which died, leaving only about thirty Spartan-IIs. You may be thinking Ghosts of Onyx, which had hundreds of S-IIIs. Peptuck 04:29, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oynx

[edit]

Around the Oynx section, There is a spoilers warning, yet there is one around the entire section. Should this spoiler warning be deleted? S II 087

Ark

[edit]

Hello,

Something has been bothering me since I read this. Are we sure that the mysterious ruins outside of New Mombasa are really the Ark

The Elites said outright in the Halo Graphic Novel that the Ark was at New Mombasa. Peptuck 03:41, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Books/Halo Graphic Novel/non-game media

[edit]

I don't mean to sound exclusionist, but why are sources from these types of media being used? Has Bungie said that these stories are canon? (that's not a flippant question, they might have and I missed it). If they haven't then these citations are essentially licensed fan fiction. In Halo 2 and the previews of Halo 3 I've seen it seems pretty obvious that the Ark is the site near New Mombasa.

OR Warning: I'm betting if it isn't the New Mombasa site it is somewhere on Earth because I'm sure we humans are the Forerunners. I had my suspicions since the first door and control panels I saw in Halo. Whatever built the doors and control panels built them so they could fit through and use them respectively. I was sure when the first words from 343 Guilty Spark are "Ah a Reclaimer..." It was obviously expecting to see humans again sometime but whoever programmed it forgot that we who survived to reclaim might not know about it and "protocol". That explained why it was so puzzled when the MasterChief decided not to activate the rings after Cortana told him what he was about to do. I theorize the Ark is where humanity was preserved somehow and from it came cavemen, etc. etc. End of OR. Anynobody 07:12, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bungie has stated outright that all officially liscensed Halo media is canonical, and in fact said it all the way back in 2004. The Halo novels and especially the Halo Graphic Novel are considered canon (considering that the HGN stories were written by Bungie staff). Joe Staten stated in particular that the Halo novels were to be considered canonical and "defining elements" of the Halo story. [[3]] Peptuck 11:37, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

forerunner locations

[edit]

should there be a list of locations that have forerunner ruins or had forerunners like reach for example Agentheartlesspain 20:32, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Brutes? Halo1 are they Elites?

[edit]

You know, in Halo 1 the tall Covanant, i got confused when it says that brutes only appear at halo 2 3, are the covanant with no plasma swords that look like elites, who are they?Vikingj 04:16, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Elites (and Elite-Flood) are the only default characters that wield energy swords in the Halo series, you are probably thinking about Hunters. - Caribbean~H.Q. 04:30, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Uh, where does this fit in?

[edit]

I've been looking over articles structure, and especially with the plot overview in the Halo (series) article, I don't really see the point of this page anymore, except as a dump (admittedly, I made it a dump) of plot info and redirects to the main faction articles. I suggest prodding. Comments? David Fuchs (talk) 01:30, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

On the other hand, we could try and structure the page more like Universe of Kingdom Hearts; although we'd be repeating a lot in the development section that should/is in the factions articles, and the only use this page could have is worlds, etc. David Fuchs (talk) 01:32, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Locations

[edit]

I added Song Nam (not sure on spelling) and Voi to UNSC Locations on Earth. And I think that Covenant Locations should include the various homeworlds of its species as well as that world that was attacked by Spartan-III's in Ghosts of Onyx. Roman Slayer (talk) 23:53, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
