[edit]Hals is an acronim currently used for Hinderid Amine Light Stabilizers. Hals improve significantly the life of plastic articles exposed to sun light; they are particulalty effective in polyolefins. Typical Hals are Chimassorb 944 and Tinuvin NOR 371 produced by Ciba Specialty Chemicals.
