Graffiti in Bethlehem: Handala and Liberty as "Pietà"
Graffiti in Bethlehem: Handala and Liberty as "Pietà"
  • ... that Handala is considered to portray the Palestinian identity "with astounding clarity"? Source: "Gandolfo stated that Handala 'succeeded in portraying war, resistance, and the Palestinian identity with astounding clarity'" (Habashi, 2017, p.167)

  • This article is new enough and long enough. The hook facts are cited inline, the article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues. A QPQ has been done. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 19:26, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion for caption of Liberty Pietà graffiti[edit]

Currently, the caption for the image of a graffito of Lady Liberty holding Handala as a Pietà links to the page for the Statue of Liberty, but I think that it would be better if it linked instead to Liberty (personification) since the image is using the character as a personification of Liberty and not as a reference to the specific statue.
