I'll have a look at this one. Gog the Mild (talk)

@Auntieruth55:
  • Good images.
  • The article seems to fizzle out part way through and be thin before that. The infobox lists him as taking part in eight battles before Torgau, several of which were desperate, hard-fought affairs. But you say little about his role in them. "... his talents and leadership became apparent in battles at Mollwitz, Chotusitz, Hohenfriedberg, and Soor." By doing what? Recognised by whom? What did he do to earn the pour le mérite? The lead states that he was a major general, but the last promotion mentioned in the article is to colonel. The nineteen years of his career between Torgau and retirement get two short sentences. Would it be possible to broaden the coverage of these areas?
  • War of Bavarian Succession was remarkable for very little action. I've not found anything else on him, although I'm always looking. I did tweak some of the other material. Poten's bio of Lestwitz has little to say about much of his life. auntieruth (talk) 16:34, 10 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • I didn't expect much of the kartoffelkrieg but am surprised that there is so little in the record of a pour le merite member and saviour of the nation from the Seven Years War. I confess that I haven't been able to find much more: he was the 358th member of the Order and was already in the Braunschweig Regiment as a captain. That's it - very odd. Ah well, a little reluctantly I am going to have to accept that if it's not in a source you can't say anything about it. Certainly no problems with what you have been able to source. I have tweaked your tweaking. Could you have a final check? Gog the Mild (talk) 21:21, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Tweaks look good. Junkers should be capitalized, per Junker (Prussia) auntieruth (talk) 14:44, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
If you want to capitalise it, you will need to put it in italics as a foreign word, as it is in Junker (Prussia). I would consider that only marginally MoS compliant, but I wouldn't fail a GAN on it.
Note that I am not saying that I agree with it, just that the MoS is clear. Titles are not capitalised. German usage is different, but this is not the German Wikipedia. The Junker (Prussia) article italicises it as a foreign word, fine, but then imports a foreign usage. IMO obviously wrong. However, as the MoS doesn't explicitly forbid it I will let it slide by. Your choice: lower case; or upper case and italics. Gog the Mild (talk) 16:19, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A good short article which looks as if it was hard work - the nominator has squeezed the sources dry to garner this much information. An interesting and well written addition to Wikipedia. Gog the Mild (talk) 15:49, 16 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
