Um, Weimar was not in West Germany in 1950

[edit]

The summary information gives the date and place of death as 1950, in "Weimar, West Germany". This seems unlikely to be correct.

If the city meant is the one in Thuringia associated with Goethe and the Weimar republic (as seems likely given Schmidt's biography), then the country was not and is not "West Germany". If there is a settlement named "Weimar" located in the 1950 boundaries of the Federal Republic of Germany (or "West Germany" if we wish), then the name "Weimar" should be linked to an article about that town, and not to the article on the Weimar located in Thuringia.
