Harbin or Hafei

[edit]

References to Jane's All the World's Aircraft[1][2] found on All the World's Rotorcraft indicate that the Harbin Aircraft Manufacturing Corporation (HAMC) is now referred to as Hafei Aircraft Industries (HAI). Are there other references that indicate this as well? --Born2flie 04:05, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, there is this reference that appears to be the company's English site[3] that refers to it as Harbin Aircraft Industries (Group), Ltd, or HAI. --Born2flie 20:53, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

HAMC directly refers here, yet is also the initials of the hells angels motorcycle club For the international biker club see Hells Angels. needs a disambiguation page Matt Zero 07:45, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion

[edit]

I will, unless others object, delete the "Harbin Aircraft Manufacturing Corporation" page in favor of Hafei aviation, as there seems to be some confusion surrounding the real name of this aircraft/helicopter/large aviation parts maker. An official-looking website [4] does not tie to a listing on the Shanghai Stock Exchange listing [5], etc. I propose deletion in favor of Hafei aviation, a page which has only [this reputable FT.com tearsheet as source.Fleetham (talk) 18:35, 7 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
