This page reads as though it came straight off of a Taj Majal flyer. TROGG

Actually, it appears that it did [1]. I'm going to delete the copyright violated information. --Ataricodfish 02:40, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bold reversion

[edit]

Hey all, I made a bold edit and reverted the last version to the version that existed November 3, 2013. An intermediate IP editor, 50.78.51.25 performed a copy-paste job that resulted in the article becoming unambiguously promotional. I was going to nominate it for speedy deletion, then thought to check the edit history.

Of note to any passing admins, I found this article because I was looking into edits made by 24.0.194.57, a New Jersey based IP with a history of disruptive edits in articles related to Winnie-the-Pooh that IP edited in this article. IP 50.78.51.25 is also a New Jersey-based IP with a history of edits in articles related to Winnie-the-Pooh. For more information, see IP 69.248.52.86 Sockpuppet investigation. Status?

[edit]

Paragraph 1 says it's closed. Paragraph 3 says it's open. Such contradictions do not make for a good article! 174.24.23.108 (talk) 00:43, 15 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for pointing that out, I removed the incorrect statement that the casino is closed. Feel free to be bold and correct any errors that you find in this or other articles. Toohool (talk) 19:25, 16 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Lawsuit against lawyer

[edit]

Hi Toohool, how is including the lawsuit against Scores contrary to BLP? Thanks, SocraticOath (talk) 20:18, 22 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Firstly, it's undue weight in this article. You've only cited a passing mention of the lawsuit in an article about Blutrich. How is this of any importance to the story of the Taj? Casinos file lots of collection lawsuits. Secondly, reporting the filing of a lawsuit against somebody is problematic in BLP terms. A lawsuit, like an arrest, is nothing but an allegation. For all we know, he was absolved of all liability. The lawsuit has surely been resolved by now, so it shouldn't be reported without some information about the resolution. Thirdly, there's a clear implication that Blutrich is linked to the mob, which really shouldn't be there without better sourcing and more explanation... except it doesn't seem to have anything to do with this article, and would again be undue weight. Toohool (talk) 20:35, 22 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Do you think this article needs to satisfy BLP? It's about a casino, not a person. SocraticOath (talk) 21:17, 22 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
BLP applies to all material about living persons, not just articles where a living person is the main topic. Toohool (talk) 22:49, 22 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

"47th floor"?

[edit]

"On March 24, 2016, three teenagers attending a party in a hotel room on the forty-seventh floor were shot. Seven suspects were arrested in connection with the incident."

Wait, forty-seventh floor? Last time I checked, neither of the Trump Taj Mahal's towers have a real 47th floor. The original tower has 42 floors, and the Chairman Tower has 41 floors. The news sources that reported the shooting were never contacted to specify what the real, physical floor number of this "47th floor" is. It is hard to tell because property developers sometimes have the tendency to intentionally mis-number a skyscraper's floors. The original tower's hotel room floors are numbered "14" to "51", and the Chairman's Tower's floors are numbered "60" to "95". Plus, the Trump Taj Mahal's 2016 closure would probably make this issue moot. Jim856796 (talk) 04:38, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Merger

[edit]

This article should be merged with the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Atlantic City, since it is the same building. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.34.9.179 (talkcontribs) 20:45, 4 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The other article (Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Atlantic City (uncompleted development)) is about a Hard Rock property that was proposed in 2011 and never built. That article had been confusingly edited to be also about the new Hard Rock property being built at the Taj. But that has been largely fixed by the above IP editor. So there's not really anything to merge now. Toohool (talk) 19:16, 5 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I merged the article from Trump Taj Mahal to Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City because the property is now formally owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida. Please do not revert this, Thank you. YborCityJohn (talk) 23:25, 8 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Help with updates for James F. Allen article

[edit]

Hello! Gary here, hoping to submit a few updates for the James F. Allen (chairman of Hard Rock International; CEO of Seminole Gaming) article, as I've disclosed on the article's talk page. I managed to submit a couple requests successfully in December, but so far no editors have replied to my most recent one which is specifically related to this property. Do any page watchers mind taking a look? Thanks! GaryBitner (talk) 20:04, 27 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
