well i just read the book "a keen soldier the execution of second world war harold pringle" and it has really made me think about if he should have been executed or not.... if i was on that panel that sentanced him i would have voted not guilty but back then they were under pressure from the british and americain government to execute him. just wanted to know wat people think on this subject... if anyone reads this...

also i was the one who did the summary of his life... i kind of forgot to sign in when i did —Preceding unsigned comment added by Finally31 (talkcontribs) 00:18, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Shot for desertion or for murder?[edit]

This needs to be cleared up. One reading of the sources out there is that he was a deserter who having joined a criminal gang was subsequently convicted by court martial for murder and that was cause of his execution. GraemeLeggett (talk) 11:20, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ultimately, both. Although you have to argue that maybe he was right in his claim to have not _directly_ killed the man, but caused it indirectly because of gang activity. 73.95.134.150 (talk) 05:31, 5 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
