[edit]

There is no question that there is a a creek and a road with the name Harper Creek at this location but the Queensland Place Names database does not mention anything other than the creek (no town). It does appear as a state suburb in the 2006 Census (but not in subsequent census) but being an ABS state suburb doesn't mean it is a gazetted town (or anything else) in QLD, but it may have been a gazetted locality at that time. There is no evidence of town lots on the cadastre nor Trove newspaper mentions other than as a creek to have a bridge/culvert built over it. I think we need some reliable sources for this or remove the article (or maybe merge it into the Conondale article). Kerry (talk) 15:23, 4 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Well, 4 years later, I have finally found this place is mentioned in the Conondale entry of the Queensland Place Names database as a formr locality and it's shown on a map but not as a town, n this 2008 map (which is consistent with the presence of 2006 census data). But it seems it must be a blip on the landscape in terms of place naming as I can't find it on any other map (and I have access to a lot of Qld historic maps).
