I've flagged this page for a cleanup as all the 'Harvey Nichols in the News' matter added by Steve Robertson (who seems to no longer exist!) is not well formatted, and also needs summarising, as it overpowers the article, giving a biased POV. Spiggot 20:39, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I do exist and will edit my work! I moved "HN in the News" to just below Overview so it doesn't overpower main artcle. Edited some of article to make them smaller, will do more! These are true stories taken from the News. - Steve 22:00 17 March 2006
Steve, please leave all this material out, or edit it very heavily to maybe 5 or so lines per topic. All your stuff is very biased, it's what we call POV (point of view) but Wikipedia should be neutral. The article should be about the shop and not so heavily about disputes, problems and arguments it suffers day to day. At the very least, your stuff should be a small part of the article and should sound much more neutral i.e. present both points of view on each topic. If you can't see both points of view, it's best not to edit the article at all - Adrian Pingstone 23:15, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Really great!

[edit]

This article looks so much better than when I last left it almost a year ago. Great pics! Thank you.--Sir Edgar 05:10, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

In need of an update - The article states stores "are to be opened" in 2005. 212.85.1.33 10:57, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Shooting

[edit]

No mention of the shooting (murder-suicide) that happened in 2005? http://www.theguardian.com/uk/2005/sep/14/ukguns.samjones 62.189.157.74 (talk) 10:33, 17 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The encyclopedia isn't a newspaper however to decide if a news event is notable in the context of the article and should be included see WP:NEWSEVENT. Gmcbjames (talk) 05:18, 28 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Clean Up

[edit]

The article was out of date and in need of a major edit. I removed sections for Locations by year as the text was easily incorporated into the section Locations. Too much of the text in the section Locations was news rather than actual notable events which easily becomes out of date. The Controversy section seems to be not needed as controversial events need to be put into a context of being notable within the scope of the article with a neutral point of view. Any editor wishing to add information or make corrections is encouraged to do so. If my edits were too severe, feel free to comment on this talk page and we will reach a consensus.
