Union Carbide and Hawk's Nest

[edit]

I've heard the often-repeated claim that Union Carbide suppressed Skidmore's novel. Is there any stronger evidence of this? Publisher sales figures to indicate how many copies actually were sold? Documentary evidence of a recall? It's a great story if it's true, and the activist in me wants to believe it, but the historian wants actual evidence. But maybe this is just one writer's speculation that's gotten into the "history" of the book. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hollisbrown (talkcontribs) 17:29, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
