Excluded by some[edit]

@Tdl1060: re this edit, the first citation does include a quotation ending "That can lead you straight to liberal heresy" and is attributed to a conservative seminary director, not stated to be Calvinist. – Fayenatic London 23:10, 5 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Fayenatic london:, Westminster Theological Seminary is Calvinist,[1] as are the other two sources. As for the first source's quote regarding heresy, the previous wording; "It is disliked or excluded by some conservative evangelicals, on the grounds that the subjective appeal to experience is less reliable than the words of scripture and can lead to heresy", assumes that what the music director at Westminster Theological Seminary considers heresy is in fact heresy. The source does not describe the "liberal heresy" that the music director believes that appealing to experience in such a manner will lead to, but it is not our place to agree with his stance that such beliefs would be "liberal heresy", any more than it would be our place to label his stance "conservative heresy" or anything else. If the source detailed what it is that the music director believes that such an appeal to experience will lead to, I would be fine with including that, without the judgement that it is or is not heresy.--Tdl1060 (talk) 01:32, 6 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
