Heartland Show

[edit]

I must comment that Heartland has turned into a soap opera since start of season 14. I speak for hundreds who have commented. Heartland in the opinion of many many viewers could have been a great Canadian family show but opted to go a different direction. Two key series were not in the opinion of many family entertainment. Those being any episode involving the character Chase Power & Prince Amhed. Not only were they disturbing scenes for children & early teens to watch but the acting by both characters was terrible. Families we have talked with plus those commenting on line echo the same.(and no we are not the religious type!!) Simply put not content people wanting there families watching . Especially when they call Heartland a " Family Drama rating." General comments you should not have had Amy as a "bad" person as she was with her treatment of the character Ty throughout seasons 2 to 8 inclusive. People became tired of watching characters Lou & Tim and there treatment years back but for some reason you kept them on. Your storyline changed too much from what fans wanted. Everyone enjoyed the scenary, horse training, the family discussions around the supper table, the discussions in the barn, loft, Maggie's. That disappeared in latter seasons. And of course biggest change/disappointment was when Graham left. You lost your best actor. His acting was second to none on your show. As they say you can not loose your best actor and expect the show to be the same. Time for Heartland to hang up the Spurs. You had a long run but it is time. In latter years main reason you were somewhat liked and watched was because CBC had no good shows to replace it at the time. Amber is tiring you can see that in her acting. Tim and Lou are more than ridiculous now. I do speak for many former watchers.your fan base has dropped considerably since Graham departed and even more with the show product you have since produced. Sorry but just calling a spade a spade! Thank you. 2605:B100:1119:61F1:670A:AA94:5D8D:4C8E (talk) 21:59, 21 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Saving my Mom

[edit]

Heather,

My 88 year old mother is in ICU as I type this and the only thing keeping her lucid is my sisters streaming Heartland.

Thank you so much for creating an amazing show that an 88 year old woman can positively respond to and not be assaulted by the “weird” things going on in the rest of the world.

Much love for that! 98.187.98.73 (talk) 22:31, 1 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
