Taking up this review. Will have my comments out shortly. Famous Hobo (talk) 05:01, 12 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Lead

  • ... in which Banks escapes from being kidnapped and left in the dessert, before leading a motorcycle gang through the terrain, arming herself with pit bulls. Desert and dessert are two different things . As someone who lives in the Sonoran Desert, you wouldn't believe how often I see this mistake.
Done, that's embarrassing haha. Azealia911 talk

Background

  • Banks revealed that the song was created during a four-day studio session based in London, in which she was with the tracks producer, Lil Internet... There needs to be an apostrophe before the s in tracks.

Composition

  • I'm a little unsure about the reliability of Direct Lyrics. When the owner of the site (or at least I think it's the owner given his Twitter page) doesn't write out his full name, I'm a little unsure. If you can prove that Direct Lyrics is a reliable source, or at least state why you believe it should stay, then I'll let it slide.
I never know what to say when I'm asked to prove how reliable a source is, but I think the article offers a unique opinion on the song not given by any other source. The site isn't a blog and has multiple writers. Azealia911 talk
  • Kevipod from Direct Lyrics described the songs instrumental as "a hard-hitting, menacing beat courtesy of Lil Internet". There needs to be an apostrophe before the s in songs.

  • Chris Coplan from Consequence of Sound commented that the song possessed a "combo of throbbing bass and sweat-soaked synths" A period is missing at the end of the sentence.

  • Iyana Robertson, writing for Vibe, described the songs instrumental as a "a high-energy, twerk-yielding backdrop"... What I said earlier about the apostrophe in songs.

Reception

  • Vanyaland writer Michael Marotta described the track as "brooding and menacing", going on to describe Banks' delivery, "Banks slices through her verses in a way that recalls the magic she first flashed on the still-lethal 2011 track '212'". Link "212"

  • ...recommending that Banks spends less time "projectile-vomiting hate on Twitter ought to get it together and actually focus on not making shit music". The quote is good (not often you find a reviewer voice their opinion like that), but it seems like the quote is taken slightly out of context. The ought seems strange right next to Twitter, almost as if there should be an "and" in between. Was the quote saying something like "Azelia Banks, who was projectile-vomiting hate on Twitter, ought to get it together and actually focus on not making shit music"?

  • Refs 18 and 28 are the exact same.
Merged. Azealia911 talk

Promotion

  • Banks initially announced the tracks release via a tweet of a video still from the songs music video... Missing an apostrophe in songs

  • In the video, Banks escapes from being kidnapped and left in the dessert... Once again, desert vs dessert

  • On April 10, 2015, Banks performed "Chasing Time" during her set at the Coachella Festival. What does Chasing Time have to do with this article?

Overall, solid article. I'll do one more run-through tomorrow, checking the refs this time around. Once the issues are addressed, this should pass. Famous Hobo (talk) 04:31, 14 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Apologies that this is taking some time, Famous Hobo. My real world-workload has unexpectedly increased, but I'll try and address all of your comments this side of the weekend. Thanks for baring with me! Azealia911 talk 10:51, 19 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • I think I've addressed all of your comments. Azealia911 talk 11:39, 21 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, sorry about that, let's get this done and dusted. Everything has been addressed, so I now feel comfortable passing this, great job! BTW, I made two minors corrections to the refs (the song only reached 47 as opposed to 46 on Billboard Twitter Top Tracks, and the ref about the music video being released right next to Nicki Minaj's was dead, so I replaced it with the archive url).
