Changes[edit]

These are my additions to the page about one of the books I love the most! If I have made any mistakes, please correct me! Chrisdoyleorwell (talk) 00:19, 7 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The sentence "a small boy very long ago who woke safe and happy on a doorstep" is referring to Drove himself, not to Squint. Drove remembered how he was saved and brought home by the Lorin, after the incident with Aunt Zu during his early childhood. Squint was confirmed to have been shot by the guards of the cannery. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.32.218.5 (talk) 17:26, 22 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Drove's fate[edit]

I always assumed that the author intends Drove to be correct. I have now read the sequel, which confirms this.

I changed the last paragraph of the plot summary, removing the suggestion that Drove might just be fantasising. And mentioned the existence of the sequel, which was published long after the original. Many who enjoyed the story would not know of it.--GwydionM (talk) 08:18, 2 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
