New edits
[edit]I've started re-writing this article to correct mistakes and add new information. For instance, the Henrietta Marie never carried Africans to what is now the United States. Its two voyages as a slave ship were to Barbados and Jamaica. The year of the wreck also appears to be 1700, not 1701. I also removed some over-blown wording about the shackles being used to punish and torture the captive Africans. However cruel use of the shackles was, it was not deliberate torture. I'll be working more on this. -- Donald Albury 12:44, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
