This article is based on an old Oxford DNB entry which confused this Henry Elsynge's works with those of his father. The current DNB has updated information, different birth and death dates, and includes the statement that "The various parts of the treatise entitled The Manner of Holding Parliaments in England, or, Modus tenendi parliamentum apud Anglos, sometimes attributed to Elsynge, were in fact the work of his father and namesake. - PKM (talk)

I agree. For the avoidance of confusion, though, the old DNB as at s:Elsynge, Henry (DNB00) was not published by the Oxford University Press in its first edition (1890s). OUP bought the copyright around 1917. The "current DNB" is properly called the ODNB or Oxford DNB. Charles Matthews (talk) 15:16, 21 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
