I just added some information to this entry but did it before creating a Wikipedia account. I don't remember where I got all the data but it's part of a lecture I do on scientific racism and I try to be very careful about checking my sources.

I'm not sure if I'm supposed to include my name here, but I'm new, and I'm not a registered user. However, I've noticed that http://www.spock.com/Henry-H.-Goddard has text identical to that of Wikipedia's. In addition, this article needs much more sources, as I find this information difficult to verify.

Perhaps the most random thing, though, is the fact that it is on Wikipedia's projects of "College Football". I was quite certain that Mr. Goddard was a eugenicist, not a football player. This may be an error, or vandalism, but I am not certain. Again, I am new, and you'll need to investigate this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.134.140.119 (talk) 10:01, 10 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I just noticed the article says that Goddard's 1910 classification "moron, imbecle, idiot" was based on IQ test scores; however, "IQ" wasn't coined, and the test results weren't presented on that scale, until 1912 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Stern_%28psychologist%29). Can somebody revise this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.87.93.73 (talk) 05:49, 24 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You may find it helpful while reading or editing articles to look at a bibliography of Intelligence Citations, posted for the use of all Wikipedians who have occasion to edit articles on human intelligence and related issues. I happen to have circulating access to a huge academic research library at a university with an active research program in these issues (and to another library that is one of the ten largest public library systems in the United States) and have been researching these issues since 1989. You are welcome to use these citations for your own research. You can help other Wikipedians by suggesting new sources through comments on that page. It will be extremely helpful for articles on human intelligence to edit them according to the Wikipedia standards for reliable sources for medicine-related articles, as it is important to get these issues as well verified as possible. -- WeijiBaikeBianji (talk) 02:26, 16 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Don't understand the following excerpt from the article

[edit]

> He was constantly perplexed by the fact that later polemicists claimed that his studies were dangerous to society despite presenting immigrant groups as immoral and less intelligent by falsely claiming the sample was "representative of their respective groups" whilst advocating removal of such people from society

I don't understand what this is saying. --Svennik (talk) 12:14, 11 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Year of death

[edit]

At the start of the article, it says 1957. At the end, it says 1947, and that he died at age 90, which is incompatible with the claimed year of birth. Which is it? --Svennik (talk) 12:20, 11 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
