Not tumorigenic in nude mice?

[edit]

I'm reading a paper right now saying they are. Citation needed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.80.44.45 (talk) 01:08, 20 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A citation to ATTC has been added for it being non-tumorigenic in nude mice. I can't find a statement to that effect either in the product information, or via a Google search of the site. Lavateraguy (talk) 19:07, 20 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

hepatoblastoma or hepatocellular carcinoma?

[edit]

A reader writes in to state that the HepG2 cell line actually originated as a hepatoblastoma and not a hepatocellular carcinoma, according to:

  • doi:10.1016/j.humpath.2009.06.015

Could someone look into it?--S Philbrick(Talk) 19:10, 2 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Importance low? I think it's moderately important. They are used a lot. Aaadddaaammm 03:21, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

http://clincancerres.aacrjournals.org/content/11/20/7532.full.pdf worked fine there (and other places) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.228.7.70 (talk) 13:53, 13 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

History

[edit]

Could someone add when this cell line was discovered; and where? This is mostly for historic references. 2A02:8388:1641:8380:6CA6:B9A3:D945:9F7C (talk) 17:19, 23 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
