NYC Schools

[edit]

Did Herb Stempel ever comment on his experiences in the NYC school system?Lestrade (talk) 13:55, 4 February 2008 (UTC)Lestrade[reply]

Unclear wording

[edit]

The following long sentence is unclear: "Producer Redford however chose to have Turturro's portrayal to be considerably at odds with Stempel's actual demeanor: that of a somewhat soft spoken person - one even a bit shy, rather than someone "socially challenged" and too often abrasive, even sometimes negatively presented as an ethnic stereotype." I can't understand if Turturro's portrayal was shy or abrasive or if Stempel's demeanor was shy or abrasive.Lestrade (talk) 13:33, 17 October 2008 (UTC)Lestrade[reply]

And if there was an ethnic stereotype, what ethnicity was it? Stempel appears to have a Jewish accent in the film, but no ethnicity is mentioned in the article. Dynzmoar (talk) 16:56, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
