Some commentary[edit]

Please disregard this Wikipedia page. It was created by members of the Trinidadian and Tobagonian public who are in political parties; perhaps the UNC, PNM and the others. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.17.16.221 (talk) 16:25, 14 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Please stop accusing other users of ulterior motives. User:Drmies, creator of this article, is Dutch; I am Czech. Once again: exactly which facts in the article do you dispute? And, most importantly: what reliable sources do you have? - Mike Rosoft (talk) 15:31, 16 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Holy moly Mike--what's been going on in here? FWIW, I created this from a redlink on List of people of Dominica (created by another disruptive editor, if I remember correctly), and why this would even be controversial to a neutral observer is not clear. But we're not dealing with those, and I see you've been handing out the appropriate blocks--thanks for that. Drmies (talk) 16:22, 16 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
    • From what I gather, he claims that Volney had changed his party allegiance and is now a member of "ILP (Jack Warner's party)". Nether ILP nor Jack Warner seem to have a Wikipedia article, and all sources in the article say that he is indeed a member of United National Congress. - Mike Rosoft (talk) 19:05, 16 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The Creator of the article is Dutch and the other person is Czech? Now, why do you care so much to be constantly visiting Herbert Volney's incorrect biography on Wikipedia. ANYONE can create a user page with badges and symbols as the two of these men and state that they are from other countries. So the accusations are most likely true! Why did you remove that he does not have Dominican citizenship? It is a fact that he was born on Montserrat but became a Dominican citizen as a young child, then a Trinidadian years ago. What authority do you have to alter any Wikipedia pages? Well, it's a hypocritical world and you are obviously a politician from another party in Trinidad with a cover up. There was some idiot who wrote that Herbert Volney had his 15 minutes of fame as a minister. What rubbish is that? You belong in bed with Mabel's tomato ketchup and on television with the little mermaid. All of these people writing articles about him are those looking for the fame. Herbert Volney wants to see a better twin island republic and well, he has critics. Politics. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.53.156.154 (talk) 19:04, 16 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Two words: reliable sources. We can't change the article just on your say-so. (As I had said on the talk page of your IP address: If you happen to be Herbert Volney or his employee, please see the conflict of interest guidelines on why editing an article about yourself may be problematic. If you want to contact Wikipedia volunteers with a (semi-)official inquiry about your article, see Wikipedia:Contact us - Subjects.) - Mike Rosoft (talk) 19:09, 16 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Who on earth is Mike Rosoft??? Stalker... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.53.156.243 (talk) 19:21, 16 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • I am one of administrators of Wikipedia, volunteer editors who have obtained trust of the Wikipedia community and the authority to do some maintenance tasks like delete articles, protect them from editing, block users, and undo these actions in accordance with the Wikipedia policies and guidelines. I have been watching edits using a tool (Huggle), and noticed that you have been making some disruptive edits of this article (at first, you broke the article by copy-and-pasting text from the web page [which destroyed the references and links to other Wikipedia articles]; then you almost entirely blanked the article, reducing it to a single sentence). So now please stop these ad hominem arguments, and get to the point.

You dispute the factual accuracy of the article. I repeat: exactly which parts of the article do you see as inaccurate, and what sources do you have? - Mike Rosoft (talk) 19:39, 16 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Personal attack removed. If you don't have anything constructive to add, I recommend you to say nothing. - Mike Rosoft (talk) 19:51, 16 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

That is why Jack Warner resigned from the UNC to start his own party! Patrick Manning was also the Prime Minister and he was very popular before elections in 2010. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TriniPolitics2010-2015 (talkcontribs) 19:03, 29 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Just posting to note that the revision by User:TriniPoliticians2010-2015 and User:TrinidadianPoliticians2010-2015 contained text copy-and-pasted from the politician's official biography at the site of parliament of Trinidad and Tobago [1]; as such, it was a copyright violation. I have removed several irrelevant comments added by sockpuppets. A talk page serves for discussions relevant to improvement of the article, not as a discussion board or - worse - a soapbox. - Mike Rosoft (talk) 06:12, 31 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

As I have done again, on the same basis. Dwpaul Talk 02:05, 3 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
