how old was Mr. Van Ples when he was in Hiding for 2 years (added by 71.76.17.98)

  • For a school report by any chance? Let's see, the clues may be in the article. Born 1898. Went into hiding 1942. Plus 2 years. Therefore 1944 take away 1898. Equals...? Yallery Brown 21:09, 16 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Media[edit]

Although the portrait of Van Pels in Anne Frank's posthumously-published diary is rarely flattering, he was remembered affectionately by those who helped hide them and he has been portrayed in the many stage and screen adaptions of the book.

How does his simply being portrayed in the subsequent media fit into the sentence about his differing real-life persona?

Perhaps: Although the portrait of Van Pels in Anne Frank's posthumously-published diary is rarely flattering, which carried over into the subsequent media portrayals, he was remembered affectionately by those who helped hide them.--WPaulB 22:43, 4 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability[edit]

This article article does not cite any "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject" (which would establish notability per WP:NOTE), nor does it even assert any notability other than as one of the people associated with Anne Frank -- which already has its own article. For these reasons, I will shortly be redirecting the article to people associated with Anne Frank. HrafnTalkStalk(P) 03:37, 23 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
