Recreated from Scratch

[edit]

While this page has been deleted before, I have recreated it from scratch, and I believe it now shows they meet the Notability requirements of Wikipedia:MUSIC#Criteria_for_musicians_and_ensembles, specifically:

  1. Has been the subject of multiple, non-trivial, published works appearing in sources that are reliable and are independent from the musician or ensemble itself
  2. Has received non-trivial coverage in independent reliable sources of an international concert tour, or a national concert tour in at least one sovereign country.[note 1]
  3. Has released two or more albums on a major label or on one of the more important indie labels (i.e. an independent label with a history of more than a few years, and with a roster of performers, many of whom are notable).
  4. Is an ensemble which contains two or more independently notable musicians, or is a musician who has been a member of two or more independently notable ensembles.
  5. Has performed music for a work of media that is notable, e.g. a theme for a network television show, performance in a television show or notable film, inclusion on a notable compilation album, etc. (But if this is the only claim, it is probably more appropriate to have a mention in the main article and redirect to that article. Read WP:BLP1E and WP:BIO1E for further clarifications)
  6. Has been placed in rotation nationally by any major radio or music television network.
  7. Has been a featured subject of a substantial broadcast segment across a national radio or TV network.

Should there be any questions from WP Editors, I encourage you to ask for clarification if not clear from the text Theducks (talk) 06:11, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Was the article deleted per WP:PROD? There is no wikilink to the "discussion" if I use template {{oldafdfull}} on this page. The band is signed to Universal Music Group one of now big three per WP:BAND # 5 + Nettwerk qualifies as a "major independent" label. From what I can tell here, the article should not have been deleted. What project banners were on the talk page? The "article alerts" process only works with the project banners in place. I had nothing to do with previous incarnations of this page, so I don't know the rationale behind deleting it - other than the stated lack of notability - so I rewrote it from scratch, with references to ensure its notability was clear. I think one of the incarnations was from 2008, pre a number of the notable events in their history, but one was done on the same day I wrote this one, presumably for the same reasons - lack of sources Theducks (talk) 17:04, 25 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe state in the prose the date and label of the releases? Add Nettwerk to the infobox as I forgot to. Argolin (talk) 04:15, 25 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
