Double move
[edit]- Whoops, sorry for the double move. I didn't check to AC/DC page to see that there is an Australian version too. Sorry for this confusion. --G VOLTT 17:49, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
Unspecified source for Image:Acdc high voltage international album.jpg
[edit]I found Image:Acdc high voltage international album.jpg and noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. Someone will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If it was obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If there are other files on this page, consider checking that they have specified their source and are tagged properly, too. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:18, 31 May 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Fair use rationale for Image:Acdc high voltage international album.jpg
[edit]Image:Acdc high voltage international album.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 16:18, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Merger?
[edit]Why are there seperate pages for this and the Australian version of this album? None of the other Bon Scott albums has two pages dedicated to it. Kouban (talk) 14:37, 21 May 2011 (UTC)
- As detailed in both articles, the 1975 album of the same title is substantially different from the 1976 version (only two tracks in common). To disambiguate as to which High Voltage is being described, two separate articles are used. A merger is likely to annoy a casual user: they would have to wade through the Australian version until they found the international one or vice versa.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 20:26, 30 June 2011 (UTC)
Personnel
[edit]Did AC/DC re-record the songs "Little Lover" and "She's Got Balls" for this album? Because if they didn't that means there's personnel to add for these songs. Anyone got an answer? Akdrummer75 (talk) 08:36, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
- They're the same tracks - nobody else is credited on the album for these songs which means any additional musicians will need a good source. I don't know of any source that unequivocally states who played on those two songs, specifically bass and drums. Angus' backing vox on the studio version of TNT needs a source too - he's also uncredited for that. Bretonbanquet (talk) 19:33, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
- Evans didn't do backing vocals on any track and this is covered in his autobiography. He says its one of the reasons they initially gave for sacking him "we want someone who can sing." [1] FlatOut 09:07, 7 May 2013 (UTC)

In Popular Culture
[edit]I realize that this is covered on the page for the single, but is it worth mentioning in the "In Popular Culture" section that "It's a Long Way" was featured in the film "School of Rock"? FiggazWithAttitude (talk) 15:52, 16 January 2020 (UTC)
- No. We should avoid non-notable lists of random trivia. Please see WP:POPCULTURE & WP:TRIVIA. To warrant inclusion (into a list of Notable uses in popular culture) the info needs to be reliably sourced and their sources should establish their significance, hence my removal of this articles IPC section. Robvanvee 17:40, 16 January 2020 (UTC)
- Noice - thanks for doing that. As I said, my bit o' trivia is included in the page for the single for the song itself, where it should more rightly be included rather than on the album's page. I thought that all IPC should be included here, but I didn't consider the alternative...NO IPC, which works just as well. Thanks again! FiggazWithAttitude (talk) 16:41, 17 January 2020 (UTC)
